High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection, or HDCP, is a digital copy protection technology that creates a secure connection between the source and display to prevent unauthorized copying of audio and video content.
HDCP errors occur when there’s a problem with the physical connection between your streaming device and TV.
Typically, this is easily resolved by reconnecting the HDMI cable:
Unplug both ends of the HDMI cable.
Turn off or unplug your TV and streaming device.
Reconnect both ends of the HDMI cable.
Turn on or replug power to the TV and streaming device.
If that doesn't do the trick, try using a different HDMI input on your TV, or different HDMI cable.
