$4 monthly surcharge for Apple-billed customers

As of March 4, 2025, all customers who are subscribed to Philo through Apple will have a $4 monthly surcharge added to their subscription.

Existing customers

If you’re subscribed to Philo through Apple, you can expect to see that surcharge on your first bill after March 4, 2025.

But not to worry! You can avoid that surcharge when you switch to Philo billing.

How to switch to Philo billing

  1. Visit your Account page online.

  2. Click Switch to Philo billing.

  3. Click I understand to confirm.

  4. Select your subscription including add-ons, and click Continue.

  5. Enter and submit your payment information.

From there, you’ll just need to cancel your Apple-billed subscription.

How to cancel your Apple-billed subscription

iOS device

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.

  2. Tap your name, and then tap Subscriptions.

  3. Under Active Subscriptions, tap Philo. If you're not signed in to your Apple ID, you'll be prompted to sign in.

  4. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Apple TV

  1. Open your Apple TV Settings.

  2. Select Users and Accounts, and then select your username.

  3. Select Subscriptions.

  4. Select Manage Subscriptions.

  5. Select Philo, and follow the cancellation steps on screen.

The changes will take effect after your current billing cycle completes.

New customers

If you’re a brand new Philo customer, you’ll automatically be charged $32 (+ taxes where applicable) for your Philo Core subscription when you subscribe through Apple.
